Saw this in the Kills forum and figured most you guys don't venture over there. Don't think it's a repost.

In a nutshell, big aussie V8 touring car hits stray kangaroo jumping across the track. Remains of kangaroo go flying across the track in spectacular fashion.

Reminds me of the infamous BTCC hare video.
I know birds seem to be attracted to Jenson Button. He's killed at least three or four birds, though all the kills happened at tests. That's why there's no footage. The funny thing is, he's killed at least one bird each during his time at Williams, Benetton, and BAR!

I was at the Laguna Seca CART race a bunch of years ago when Little Al Unser caught a bunny in the sidepod of his car. He won and they had to swing past a hose before the victory circle celebrations but there was still a lot of baked Hassenpfeffer in there. I feel bad for the mechanics.

That reminds me of a black cat at about 12:30am at the 24 Hours of Daytona a few years ago. I was working in turn one on the blue flag, and for about 20 min watched him come from against the wall in the trioval, down to the dogleg, then crossing the track in traffic, and finaly to safety in the infield.
Probably the most incredible thing i have witnessed at an auto race. It also broke two myths. Black cats are NOT unlucky, and they have a hell of a lot more than 9 lives.
(figured we could use a happy post in this thread since its probably going to be filled with dead deer, turtles, birds... though.. a dead snake did show up on the exit to turn 7 at CMP last friday sometime mid day.)

Yeah, not only did they have to clean roadkill out of the sidepod of his car, but in later years, I'm sure they spent plenty of time cleaning up blood and vomit from his drinking and crack binges.

While Dodge engineers were developing the Viper GTS R a few years back at Road Atlanta, a red tailed hawk dive bombed the car while it was doing about 150mph on the back stretch approaching #10. He punched through the passenger side of the windshield and his guts were all over the test equipment!
A number of WRX STi owners have ingested birds into the hoodscoop while driving down the road. Apparently it's a pain in the neck to clean out. Though, not as much pain as in the birds neck when it MET the hoodscoop
