i/h/e and a v-afc and a new intake manifold. that will be about the best upgrades possible without getting into the turbo/nitrous area.

just like everyone else said. first get a header and complete your exhaust. next i would do a weight reduction. its free but it might take a little time. also dont forget about tires. your could have a 1000 hp motor but have **** tires and youll just be sitting at the line burning out all day.

sell the intake and get individual throttle bodies or build your own!

Bump for good Question about the vafc settings ( I know it depends on what your setup is though )

you need to take it to get tuned with the vafc.

i have a jdm gsr motor with skunk2 IM, cai, dc jdm header, CTR intake cam, full exhaust, msd ignition kit, aem fuel rail, kenji chipped p28.

i haven't ran it since the mods, but i hit a 14.4 with just the skunk2 mani on the motor. i should be able to hit 13's now with the other mods i did. i may have had the header when i hit a 14.4, don't remember. i have the motor in an eg hatch.
i think the CTR intake cam made a good difference.

i am now looking to getting my car tuned with hondata soon

oh yeah.... i also have a zex kit installed , but thats just incase i need it

Hey how hard was the install onto your HX? How much $$ did it come out to? Enlighten me a bit yea? I also have an HX and planning to put a b18C1 or a H22.

You mean it's a B18C1 i.e. header .

Last time I checked, various Hondas used more than one header per engine .

Don't flame if you're only going to go half-assed.

To the originator of the thread: you're not all-motor anything if you just throw boltons on your engine. "All-Motor" is not a default catagory of modification. If you toss I/H/E/intake manifold/cam gear on it you've gone the "Bolt-Ons" route and, without tuning, probably haven't greately increased your power output.

If you're serious about All-Motor performance, you'll want high compression pistons, better rods, a built valvetrain, aggressive cams and enough tuning so you can make power up to the camshafts' peaks without sacrificing idle and gas mileage. You'll also need fuel and ignition upgrades to get success from this route.

I installed mine my self it took about an hour to install but i would not recommend doing it yourself unless you know alot about hondas ecu wiring, i already knew my wiring cuz i put in a b18 and the book some what shows how to wire it. on scale of 1 to 10 i would say about an 8 ok the money part i payed $250 shipped for my vafc2 on ebay brand new in the box but if you want a tunner shop to install it for you i was told around $80 - $100 just to install not including the dyno time or tuning the vafc.

about your motor swap if you have the money i put a b20 with a b18 vtec head on it that should give you a pretty large whp over the hx motor and use an integra type r ecu but like i said if you have the money!
