Burning oil? What was the compression? How's the plug look?

what was the reading on the others?
Sucks to have a done motor... I'm in the same boat.

150 i believe? they were all fine. but the 4th cylinder was making up for the 3rd cylinder.

Sorry man. Probably a new piston, hopefully the cylinder itself is OK. But I don't know crap about motors. Maybe someone will post what they paid to rebuild a motor?

what happened to cause your motor to lose that much compression? bent valve? how did you determine it is probably just rings?
As far as price, depends on who does most of what work. Will need to get your block honed, and assuming you didnt mess up the walls you won't need them bored. (hone is still required there) then you'd have charges for assembly/disassembly of the block assuming thats all you bring there. You probably should replace all your bearings, rings on all 4 pistons (again assuming you dont need oversized pistons). Wouldn't hurt to throw a set of rod bolts on for ***** and giggles. Oil pump too, while the block is apart?
Think about how many miles and what items are coming up for service -- kill as many birds with one stone as possible, will be cheaper in the long run for you.
Good luck.

bro it may also be a bent or burnt valve... check those... usually rings all go bad at once not just one cylinder

do it right and rebuild with forged pistons/rods.. forged rods/pistons can cost towards thousand or more, then sleeveing could also cost towards a thousand or 2 havn'et checked recent prices but i'm sure its not that much cheaper. seals/bearings/gaskets/pumps will cost few hundred
- i don't think sleeving is necessary for supercharger hp..
for buying another stock block.. you could spend around 1 thousand on used gsr block not knowing exact history of abuse (not itr, because you'll lower your compression with gsr) but then you're dealing with stock pistons again..
