I will have another Recaro seat for the passenger soon, I am looking for a seat rail now. I just have a few question before I decide to purchase one.

1) Can I just modify the stock seat rail for the Recaro seat? Is it easy to do?

2) If I buy the Recaro seat rail, will it make the seat sit higher?

3) Beside the Recaro seat rail, what other alternative I can look at?

For all you with who plan on geting 'racing' seats you might want to contact Wedge Engineering if you need bracketry:

I know that Vision offers very nice, high quality seat rails, that will even lower the height of the seat.. I believe 1-2"..

i'm assuming u are talking about sr-series recaros.

the wedge hardware sits too high (at least they do in my bro's 90 rs). vision stuff is good if you're too tall or need helmet clearance. jdm itr rails are somewhere in between and are the most functional of them all, but are a bit on the heavy side and are expensive new.

Of all of these different seat rails, I'd say the Wedge engineering combo is the heaviest of all. I'd say the vision set is the lightest, and the OEM JDM Honda seat combo is the best for me..

I am thinking of buying the Recaro rail and custom make a bracket to fit with it now.

Anyone know if a JDM Recaro seat rail from DC2 will fit on the DelSol?

 

DC and EG rails are the same...

 

But then how come my stock delsol seat can't bolt up to my friend EG6? I just wonder by any chance than delsol Recaro seat rail is difference than other EG?

 

Well I guess you can make the assumption that EG1/2 seats are different from EG4/5/6/7/8/9 seats. All I know is that I have an EG6 Bride rail in my DC2.
