Aftermarket Fuel level sending units + oem fuel gauge?
I recently switched to a fuel cell. Im keeping my stock guage cluster and id like to be able to use an aftermarket fuel level sender in conjunction with my oem guel level gauge...is this possible? if so who makes the sending unit?
Somewhere in the Helm book they probably list what resistance the sender is supposed to have at empty, mid, full, or whatever. You just gotta find any sender that has the same range of resistance.
anyone have a helms laying around ?
Haynes says 2-5 ohms full
25.5-39.5 ohms half tank
and 105-110 ohmsempty
can anyone verify if this is correct?

Contact the maker of the gauge that you want to get and see if they have one that will work with your existing sending unit. I know that autometer makes different ones for just this (ford is different than chevy)
I also know that autometer makes sending units for their gauges.
