Default Headlights won't turn on because hatch is open????????

I'm trying to turn my headlights on but they won't, and the dash is saying my rear hatch is open...which it isn't. I just drove the car with the lights on yesterday! The only thing I did to the car was fill it up with some friggen gas! Anyone know whats up????

yeah, tried that numerous times to say the least.

Sometimes the "open hatch" light in the dash won't come on, then I got to turn the lights on and it comes on. Turn the lights off, the "open hatch" light turns off. Same works with my dome light. Also, don't know if this matters or not but the seatbealt buzzer is going crazy too, won't quite beeping.

It sounds like you have a faulty ground somewhere. Look on your left kick panel area (near your left foot when you are driving) and check the grounds there as that is the dash ground spot, also there are some grounds in the engine compartment near the headlights make sure they are getting a good connection too.

Alright, will do. Any possibility this has anything to do with a fuse?

Checked the fuses...thats not it. It seems to me like this would be a bad ground also. I'm looking just a little left under the steering column and I see a shatload of wires, but I don't see any grounds. Where would they be grounded at??? HELP!

Well, got it figured out for those who care or ever need to know. It was the "lights" fuse underhood. I went to pick one up at advanced auto parts, but they were closed along with every other parts store. I'll just pick it up tomorrow. Thanks guys.
