does anybody know how to get a dvd movie to play on the cars dvd rom

 

If you're having troubles with your DVD system I would recommend bringing it to your local Honda dealer to have them look at it and make sure it is nothing serious.

 

no,i have a navigation system that runs off a dvd rom in the trunk and i'm wondering if there would be some way around getting movies to play on it. to me it it seems that i probably have to burn the dvd off the computer,but what format i don't know but if you know some way then that would be great

 

navigation systems do not play DVD Movies, where did you hear this from.

 

if u don't know how to do it why even hit me up they run off a dvd rom how can they not

 

I have an 03 accord with Navi. There is a way to play DVDs using a wiring kit.

well actually what they are using is the Navigation screen as a monitor, but you have to buy their adapter/converter to switch video composite(rca) to RGB (component) since the Navi. screen uses the RGB signal. so if you if wanted to watch a movie you will still have to get a dvd-player and buy a signal converter. such as this one:

and use your own video switch box instead of the infrared remote that they supply, this switch boxes can be bought at Circuit city, Radio Shack etc and the push-lock buttons can be mounted and labeled for your specific component, such as PS2,TV tuner,dvd player. you can even use the screen as a computer monitor since they use the same RGB signal...
