I'm going to be changin my sunroof to glass soon. I was wondering if anyone else has done this. Looking for tips / help. I have the glass already. Just cant decide on how to mount it to the sunroof rails. Thanx

I think hes talking about a rex, I was thinking about trying to use a civic roof but I didn't think t was gonna fit maybe later ill try and make one out of tinted plexiglass.

 

yes. forgot to mention its for GEN2 crx's . specifically a 91 in my case. i paid 312 dollars and some cents forgot exact to have a glass replica made at a glass place in my town. temperd glass? or something rather. i forget. the guy explained it to me. he said its the same glass as most vehicles use for sunroofs. too bad i wasnt payin attention. i was more paying attention to the large price tag. but it was custom so i prepaid it. no backing out .

 

yeah, lemme know what happens. i want to do this bad, too. you'd think that if Mitsu. does it, honda can too...

glass top means cutting into your solid skeleton making it weaker.

also means needed reinforcement for your frame so you wont kill yourself making a sharp turn with your pretty glass roof crushing like a soda can.

but i guess if you dont drive your car and you put about 5 miles a year on it, it wouldnt be too bad to have.
