can i put a dx transmission on a hf with a si clutch

Hm.....I am warry to say I believe so as long as the years match up, I.E. everything 88, or everything 89, or any combination of the years 90 or 91 mixed up.

no because the dx tranny requires dx axles and the dx and hf hub assemblies have different sized holes for their respecting axles

Wrong, only the Hub ends are different so he can still use the HF axles
