cam timing was off
my freinds cam timing with off 1 tooth i forget weather it was on the intake or exhaust side but he have mess up anything? he drove around with it for atleast 2months and just realized what the problem was
One tooth shouldn't hurt it. Check and see if it's making any noises, if you're really paranoid pull the head and look if there are any marks on the cylinder heads or the valves. A valve adjustment wouldn't hurt in fact. but one tooth shouldn't be a big deal. good luck

what kind of noises? its making some squeeking noises but i think its due to the ps and alt belt being to tight. im gunna change his timing belt this week anyways so i'll fix the cam gears to TDC. but please inform us on what kind of noises and what is the result of the noises. thanks

Pinging, tapping, or knocking noises would indicate contact between valves and cylinder heads due to timing of valve movement being wrong. Put your ear against the valve cover while it's warm, not hot, and listen
