What the heck is dizzy prob?
Ok so today I was trying to fix the timing on my car after changing head gasket. I made sure "up" was up on the cam sprocket, the groove on the crankshaft pointed to the notch on the timing belt cover, and both the exhaust and intake valves were closed on cylinder 1, so cylinder 1 should be at the compression stroke at TDC, correct?
Why is the rotor on the dizzy pointing left instead of down where the first cylinder plug is supposed to go? I just put the first wire on the left of dizzy, third on the top, fourth on the right, and second on the bottom, which is the correct firing order, but I thought the first plug was supposed to be on the bottom plug of the dizzy... I haven't got to crank it yet, waiting for someone to get home to jump the car, but should it work? or is this correct?
