dx head on hf

Default dx head on hf

can i put a 16 valve head on my 8 valve hf crx

no, the above statement is not true. The pistions in the HF block only have valve reliefs for 8 valves, not 16. Meaning that the first time u crank over your newly built motor, half your valves will bend just like that. Just put the whole dx motor in and use your old hf distributor, swap the DX intake to mpfi, get a pm6 ecu, and you will have an Si motor.

the a6 is 1.6L and has a different cam...

And doesn't have a 5500 RPM redline

Yeah I know the a6 is a different cam, but not too different. If you have the DX head on hand its not worth pitching out the cash for an a6 head. And what I meant before by swapping to mpfi was to put on an a6 intake manifold. Sorry for being unclear on my part.
