Default Valve cover leaking????`

I went to valvoline to get my oil changed, and i was talkin to the guy about the mods that i was planning on doing. so he checked out my engine and pointed out that my valve cover was leaking. There was fluid coming out of the side of the valve cover. He said that i will need a new valve cover, gasket, and end caps. So where can i find this stuff??? For my B18B, i can only find the moroso (sp??) valve cover and on ebay i can only find polished valve covers. Does anybody know where i can get like a stock valve cover for under 100 bucks???? Where can i find the gasket at??? And what the hell are the end caps???? Can i do this myself or should i have a pro do it??? thanks.

valve cover? you sure about that. usually
when its leaking all you need to replace are the valve cover gasket and possibly the end caps. you can get all that at the acura dealership. which side was he pointing to on the valve cover?

valve cover is leaking?? maybe the gasket needs to be replaced. what side is it on? it could just be the cam seal..why would you have to replace the whole valve cover?

go to a&h and buy it, they are cheap and easy to install. make sure u check yr spark plugs too. It was pretty cheap, and easy to install, make sure u put the silicon around the gasket when u install, be careful, make sure no silicon touch yr engine, i mean the cam and stuffs like that. hope this would help.

Go to the dealer and get new gaskets. You're suppose to change them everytime you take off the valve cover.

It is leaking out of the front left corner. He said that sometimes the valve covers can warp after time, so i might as well get a new one (at least thats what he said). But you guys say just to get the gaskets???? thanks for all of your help.

Also, when im driving and the rpm's are above like 5000, i hear a high pitched whistling. I was thinking that this leak in the valve cover might be the problem. If not, does anybody else have this problem??? Is it even a problem???

just buy the gasket, and put the silicone on every pivot point of the gasket, don't over tighten it either, gaskets are sensitive to too much pressure, make it snug, if it leaks after that then you probably need a new one, very easy to do, should take you about five minutes, and make sure you clean the surface of the head where the gasket rests with a rag or something, a good seal is the key......and the high pitched whistling above 5000 rpm could be a small vaccum leak , maybe investigate it.........

valve cover warping???my ****... i dont think its the valve cover! It has to be the gaskets... like everybody says, just change the gasket..and make sure you reseal it w/ silcone!

Why spend almost $200 for the valve cover alone? You'll save yourself some pocket change!

valve cover warping. i never heard of such a thing. if its the left side..it can be the cam seal. clean around that area and see where the oil is coming from. the seals are known to leak after a while. i dont believe that its the valve cover gasket..but i could be wrong. maybe im thinking too hard.
