intermittent engine stall
I have a '93 SE with 90,000. While driving home from work I was slowing down for a traffic light and after lifting my foot off the accelerator the car died. I was able to restart the engine and continue driving. This happened a second time, again while slowing for traffic. After getting home and having to power-brake at every light I turned the car off. I was going to take the car to my mechanic but I could not get it started. I took out the ignition ignitor and had it tested at NAPA (good). The fuel pump is working fine. After reinstalling the ignition module the car started just fine. My mechanic drove it for a day and found zero problems. The only symptom I had was after lifting off the accelerator the tach dropped to zero. Any ideas what may be causing this? Any help greatly appreciated.
