As the topic says, I have a friend here in SJ doin a b18c swap with the gsr intake mani. Who has done this before.... its a bitch. The fuel line goes right across the intake path, also what smog legal intake can I use??? Aem's new one isnt legal yet??
I would just cut the fuel line and lengthen it, but thats not too safe.

Ryan,
We just ran into this problem last Thursday and thats why I opted to not change my fuel lines and just change the manifold with a Skunk2 manifold as my TPS was too close to the hitting a fitting on the firewall as well. I figured if I changed my fuel lines with AN fittings and hose I might as well spring for the Skunk2 manifold and buy something that might ad some performance gains without having to risk my CARB legality. Hope this helps.

If he was determined to keep the GSR Manifold.... We were planning on getting some AN fittings and relocating the fuel hose with s SB one and using some AN fittings to make it work but that can be expensive. Also I relly was not comfortable having that manifold sit so close to the firewall and the TPS so close to that other hose. I did not care how stiff those moutns were...one good shift and I could fore see a cracked TPS and then I would have probably been scratching my head asking myself why I just didnt buy a Skunk2 manifold!

Ya man, the s2 manifold should be 1st priority on a gsr swap in a rex, tell me about it!!
I am thinking about relocating his fuel filter a little lower, and I guess he just ordered the aem for the b18c swapped crx's. Hes gunna take his chances, hopefully it will be carb legal soon. Also, I may cut a notch out of the little piece of brass that the tps is basically rubbing against.

Is he going to try and CARB it with that intake? I heard that they were not CARB'd. Le tme know if things have chnaged on those Hybrid intakes.

I just relocate the fuel filter more up so that intake can fit. I'm still in the process or working on it or/maybe buy a gsr fuel line. I think its shape differently.
Also another question can you use a interga 96-98 distributor on a Gsr motor? It only has one plug instead of two plugs.

Hi Ryan;
There are two ways that you can go about this;
One is to cut off the two banjo fittings and have "AN" fittings silver soldered on. Then just make up a section of stainless steel braided hose. Making up hose with "AN" fittings can be done at home.
The other is to cut off the two banjo fittings and have a shop solder on "crimp" connectors. The new hose is then directly crimped on those fittings. This looks the most stock. The problem is that you have to "phase" the fittings so that they bolt up correctly. Doing the crimping requires a special tool to do it correctly and I have a local shop that I have do this sort of work.
Due to having to go to the Referee brings up another issue. He may question if the hose is rated for fuel. Stainless steel braided hose doesn't have any marking on it showing what it's rated for. Rubber sheathed hose does (at least the good stuff).

Wes, yet again you have been very helpful!!! What would I do without ya man???
Thanks, Ryan
Thanks, Ryan
Ryan, I relocated my fuel filter higher up with 2 steel L shaper brackets. Did the trick fine. after I BAR my swap I'll try to save some cash for a Skunk2 mani. You can check it out this weekend at the CRXPO!!

I put a obd1 gsr b18c1 in my 91 crx hf. And I was able to use the stock fuel line. I just didn't put it through the guide on the fuel rail and slipped it over the intake air tube. It actually seems too long, if there is such a thing.
