i jus bought some AEM cam gears for y my 95 gsr. i got intake, cat back, headers, fuel rail.............any1 no wat i should set them at to kick in around 5000 rpms
or if i think id be better somewhere else to 'kick in' lemme no...........i need advice, i never put cam gears on a car b4 i do not know, what to set them at...please help

 

or should i exchange them for somethin else, cause ive been readin about them slippin

 

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm what do u mean by "Kick in".... never heard of cam gears kick n in. well if i were u i would set both of them to 0 intake and 0 exhaust. u only get benefits of adding cam geard when u install a set of cams. dont install them yet. just get a set of cams then put the gears on there. if ur not gonna get cams, then sell those gears

i haven't heard any bad stories about the aem gears - shouldn't have any problems at all

really hard to tell you where to set them at - every car and setup is different - best way is to get the car on a dyno and have them tuned for your exact setup
