Default Spray Paint and Clear Coat on Del sol

hey guys
I have a Red Del Sol, red # 93 or somethin like that (number inside the door ). Since the color is faded on some parts and not others(more specifically, the rear bumper, the plasticy parts of the targa top and around back window, and my Right mirror), i was thinkin would it be a good idea to just spray paint these, wet sand them, and then get a good clear coat on the whole car? And if so, what kind of spray paint is good, but not too expensive?

Also, Mods, if this happens to be wrong forum, please move accordingly

Edit: Also, this is only ment for a temporary touch up, when the $$ flows in more freely, i intend to get a good paint job, along with a new winshield

hmm, sounds good but pricey. Nothin like a $5 can of spray paint, $6 for some high grit sand paper, and $0 for the 2 bottles of clear coat in my garage. Well, when i get that much cash, ill go there, but u guys think spray paint and some clear coat will work for now?

This isnt for the entire car, just for some of the parts on the Del Sol which are faded. The rear bumper, parts of the trunk, the pastic part where the 3rd brake light is, my right mirror, and a few other misc. Just for those, not entire car.

thanx

ok guys, b/c im poor, and i somewhat care about the look of my shitty *** car, i went ahead and bought some 600 grit sand paper, and a can of, suprisingly, milano red spray paint. (it was the only color there too!!!). I tested on a discrete location of the shitty looking part of my car, and it looks somewhat decent. I just sprayed though, no sanding or clearcoat or wax. you guys want me to post some pics?

FYI--DO NOT PAINT SPRAY PAINT ON TOP OF OTHER CURED SPRAY PAINT!! If you really want to put a clear coat on, do it within 10-20 minutes of the base coat. If you wait to long, that **** will crack like crazy and you'll want to bash the can on your forehead....Learn from my mistake

im not, all my paint on the sections im spraypainting are like faded to ****, where as the rest of the car looks perfect. ill post some pics, but the parts of my Del Sol that im painting are:

Right Side Mirror
Right Door Handle
Targa Top Molding
Rear middle Break Light Molding (pics soon)
Rear Bumper
Trunk (maybe, maybe not)

the first 4 are REALLY faded, as in they look more white than red, but im sanding down, then im painting, sanding, painting, sanding, clear coating
