I need a front bumper cover for a 2000 ITR. I was coming up an on ramp and some ****** kid in a civic comes flying up the inside of me and hits my front left corner. I spin out but am able o keep some real good control of my car. Unfortuantly i think the raditor might be busted as a green liquid was dripping from th car. I was able to get it to my friends house and am contimplating the 30 minute ride home.

Hre is the good/bad news.

Good news is that his car was so low that he didnt take out my fender. Just my chin spoiler and front bumper cover. And there is no metal damage to it. The bad news is that I cant get the JDM front i want and i didnt get his plate because he didnt spinout and I was too busy taking car of business to deal with it. And one of my Spoon rims is missing a piece out of it. No biggie. clean it up and get it re-powdercoated. Fixed. I didnt file a police report because When i left the light I took off and im sure the people behind me thought I spun out instead of got hit, so i check it all and took off.

So anyone have a used USDM 2000 bumper and chin spoiler laying around? How much do the new ones go for? Sucks because i had other ideas or christmas...

i was too busy counter steering and such. I just didnt want ot hit the trees on the side of the ramp. I guess i did ok and a 360 spin as well. So I just need a Bumper cover and some prayers for my radiator. Maybe I should upgrade if its unfixable...

 

damn dude that sucks - lots of people seem to be having stuff happen with their cars from people being totally gay on the highway. hopefully you can get some insurance $$$

nope. No police report. this is all out of pocket since it looked not too bad. hopefully that rad is still good, then its just a new bumpercover and chin spoiler. I was hoping that Mike had his laying around after his JDM conversion, or someoneelse had an OE that I could get for cheap since its used

Was the Civic easily recognizable(ie,rims,paint,kit,wing..whatever)?If so I would catch that little ************ when he least expected it and curb check his ***.

You can still submit it to insurance... E-mail me if you have any questions.

 

I agree with MikeD. submit a claim to your insurance. worst they can do is refuse it and you'll be where you are now. just because there is no police report does not mean the insurance company doesn't need to cover it. try it, you may be surprised.

 

Technically, it is a hit and run. The other driver didn't stop and you should not be liable for this or pay any deductible. File a police report anyway....

 

well aside from the Spoon rim that has a chunk missing, its going to be pretty cheap. The rear valance I can do without for now. One little spot just got pushed in. But the whole fromt bumper cover needs to be replacede. I got a quote of like 200 and change painted form a hook up source. So all in all its going to be less than 500 or right abouts that because im just touching up the rim with black paint. Gotta love the Spoonies for that!!! If i had Mugens... oh man id be pissed.
