88-91 Si Trans All Interchangeable? (Some weird info to change opinions)
I searched and found both answer, so being the noob, I might as well follow the trend and start a post with a generic question.
My question is, I own an 88 Crx Si (originally from canada) and I swapped in a sohc zc, I dont know what year the engine is but I was told it was a never year because my throttle body only has a hole for an IACV and not an FITV
I just wanna know if it matters or not what year tranny I buy as long as its from an 88-91 Si?

'88 transmissions have a different spline count vs. '89-91 transmissions. You can use the '88 tranny, however you also have to use an '88 clutch with it. '89-91 clutches will not work on an '88 trans.
hmmmmm ****
I dont know then. The car is an 88 Si, but I dont know what year the tranny is...
If i got some numbers off of the tranny would you guys be able to tell me anything from just the serial on the front of the block stamp on the tranny?
