Hello my window switch for the driver door is dead and it is a 4-door. Is there anyway I can just replace this switch? I need to have this fixed soon or else people will start grabbing things in my car. Also I would like to know if it is possible for me to fix it by myself. What would be a ballpark figure on how much I would be spending in case I do replace/fix this switch? Thanks

Do you think a junk yard might sell one? I sort of took my power windows panel apart today. I should be able to buy one and replace the switch board =D
contact your local bone yard, they should have one for that new of a honda. And it should be 1/2 or less then 1/2 the cost of a new one. The biggest problems those switches have is not the board but the switch itself. The contact points get burnt from use and then block the contact. So then it dont work. Unless you spilled something on it or got it really wet. Then it fries out the board.

Is there any chance I could just replace the switch alone? Rather than the whole unit. I dind't spill any liquids on there so I'm pretty sure that the board is still in contact. The switch works going down but not up. Is this a common problem? I still feel the motor is still running maybe the switch is going bad.
as stated in the post before.
The most common problem with any power switch for windows is that the contacts get dirty or burnt then they don't work
So yea you can just get another switch and that should fix the problem.

If you can get the switch out of the panel switch assembly, I have had good luck w/ disassembly of the switch, cleaning/polishing the contacts, and re-assembly. There are some small parts inside, so work on a towel and take not of how things come apart.
Have you shorted the switch to insure the switch is the problem?
You should be able to buy the entire switch panel reasonably, but might take a bit of searching junkyards.

i tried cleaning my switch and it worked for about another week, then it totally went dead. luckily i got one for mine from my friends 94 that he totalled along with an AEM intake cause i took his Apexi WS's off his car and put everything else back to stock.
my advice is to check ebay. and your local junkyard. my local yard wanted 75 for it.
