will 5mm spacers leave any hub for centering my wheels?
I picked up a set of 10.4 in rotor brakes off an EX civic and they won't fit under my HX wheels. so I picked up some H&R 5mm spacers and they are hub centric on one side and flat on the outside.... I heard that there will still be enough hub left sticking out of the spacer for the wheels to still cener on, is that correct?
any one runnin 5mm spacers on their front wheels and if so how do you like them?
thanks
Sean

Mine are hub-centered, but I don't know about the 5mm. Just from memory, it seems like 5mm doesn't leave hardly anything to engage the wheel?
They are lugcentric. That's why stock Honda lug nuts are shaped like a ball on the end, they center the wheel. Aftermarket lugs are tapered on the end to fit down in the tapered bore in the wheel. If they were hubcentric they would be flat with a washer. Hubcentric wheels use the hub to support the weight of the car, while lugcentric wheels use the studs and lugnuts to support the weight of the car.
so why haven't I ever read this before and why does it seem like people are so concerned about hub centric wheels getting the correct hub centric ring for aftermarket wheels
I'm not saying that you are lying, what you say makes sense... just seems like that would be more commonly known then
