strange oil problems and lack of power - wtf
oil pressure light comes on, i have full oil, and it loses power - and it all happens the second it reaches normal operating temperature. what the ****. it is also turboed, if that could possibly have anything to do with it
also my check engine light flashes 9 times - throttle position sensor? do you think that could be causing the problem? (still doesnt really explain oil)
Do you have an oil pressure guage to run for a diagnosis, that will be the only way to verify the oil code. A TPS error could easily account for your lack of power.
when the engine is at a steady pace (either idle, or 2500 rpms, or being held at whatever rpms) the oil light is on. when you accellerate up to those rpms, or are decelerating to the steady rpms, the oil light is off. also, the head starts knocking once it gets warmed up, its flashing 7 and 9 on the ecu, throttle position sensor and cyp sensor. i've had the throttle position sensor code flashing for about 3 or 4 months now and it hasnt done this - just on this new engine with a possibly very worn head on it from the junkyard using the same intake manifold as before, so nothing has changed except the head. could the springs be worn on the head and whenever it heats up they get softer and softer and cause problems? im stumped man. oh yeah, and where the hell is the cyp sensor? is it next to the oil pressure sending unit, with 2 quick disconnects on it vs the one on the oil pressure sending unit? could i have gotten them reversed when i plugged that **** in? god this car is pissing me off
