Default jdm b20b/b16 88 crx si

88 crx si
jdm b20b block
jdm b16a head
arp headstuds ( i didn't do this the first time and the head lifted and craked a
sleeve hopefully this will prevent it from happening again)
ys1 tranny(from b17a)
chipped pr3 ecu
cheap short ram intake

well here are some of my questions.

what diamater exausght should i get? I was thinking because i don't have a lot of cash i was just going to get 2.5" crushed bend with either a flowmaster or something similar muffler. does anyone know how these perform or sound?

what type of header would work best for the cheapest? i probably want to buy used.

how much help will chipping my ecu be?

do you have to relocate battery to go cold air?

I am hopeing to run between a 14 and 15 second 1/4 mile ( i am in utah 4800 elavation)

What should i set my vtec crossover at? i am not going to rev above 8000.

i had my car running for about a week and then the head lifted and craked the sleeve. it goes to show that you need to invest some cash and buy the arp headstuds. i tried to do it the cheap route because i wasn't working at the time. the engine light was always on because of the no knock sensor, but now i am getting the ecu chipped to avoid that. my car is going to be a daily driver. i just want to have it run and be kinda quick. thanks for any advice you can give me.

Exhaust: Look into at least 2.25" for the exhaust. Since you aren't pushing insane amounts of power that is a good minimum. If money comes up, than go for the full mandrel bent 2.5" all the way. In mufflers, I am partial to the ES Oval myself.

Header, cheap, probably not a good combination. Look for a DC Sports one that is used. The design is up to you, if you want a 4-1 for top end power, or a 4-2-1 for midrange and bottom goodness.

For your ECU, what program are you running on it? Anyways, for chipping I have heard nothing but good from these guys - http://www.efituningforless.com/

No you don't have to relocate your battery to go cold air, but it can't hurt. I did just so I could get the straight flow design (92-95 civic) instead of the nice bends all the ones made for our cars have.

And just leave the VTEC crossover the same, no need to change unless you have tuned to car to need it earlier, etc. etc. etc.

Oh, and why did you lift the head? Did you not torque the old bolts down properly when putting the head on?
