Slip the guy a couple hundred? Im pretty sure in Cali no one knows how to pass smog with a K20 because that involves the ref. They dont really care what motor you have out there right? If you just get the sniffer i think youll be fine, but then again i dont know MD laws. Sorry.
you can get your emmisions date pushed back. I've had mine pushed back 3-4 times. if the car fails, you just have to take it back again later. I pushed mine back 3 times.then I took it and it failed. I just have to take It back by dec. or I can get it pushed back. Just don't miss the date, or they suspend your registration. Or you can look into getting an exemption. they have a lot of different ones. my friend has a lowrider exemption on his civic coupe, because it has a bodykit and sits low.
I used to have a shitty old truck, and it was so shitty that it faild like 3 times, they just gave me a write off on it so i could legally dirve it cuz it was so ******* old. no idea what to do with this hatch though.
The money idea, i would love for that to work, just i know it wont happen. they hook your car up and print outs and ****.
Thanks. KEEP ideas comin guys

Well, in my area there is an area where you don't need emissions. So, my car is registered up there, so I don't have to worry about it. Is there any area around where you live where you can register your car to avoid emissions?

Why would the K20 swap not pass in Cali? Isn't it same year or newer? As long as it has the right ECU for it and the engine runs clean, won't that be fine? Anyway, Cali is the most stringent for emissions, right? At least, that's what I've read in a couple SMOG and test-only centers.
if it doesnt have a bar stamped on in from the state ref, then no car will pass smog. also JDM engine wont pass. i dont get how cali has the stricest emissions yet LA is so ******* polluted
