Falken Azenis or Kumho 712's?
Which ones should I get? I have 15 x 7 Kosie K 1's and I can decide which tire to get. . . . The size I'm getting will be 205/50/15's. I'm wanting a tire that's going to hadle for a good price. Please help. . . . . ?
DO you like your Kumho's. How do they handle dry or wet? Are they noisy? Are the falken's noisy? Because, a friend has the Paradas and they're loud!
Falken Azenis for sure. Way better grip on dry. 712 grips better on wet but NOT A LOT BETTER. For noise level though, very acceptable compare with Advan 032 for the Azenis.
I've been happy with the Kumhos. The sidewall is a bit soft but running a bit higher pressures help. They grip well but can't match some of the higher priced tires. In the wet the Kumhos shine and perform very well. I don't notice any road noise from the tires, but then again I would have a hard time hearing them in my car...
Do you have to get tires now? Because if you wait, Kumho is supposedly coming out with a tire that will equal to or better than the Falkens. I think Kumho wants to have a STS (street tire class in autocross) winning tire. I think the tire suppose to come out in spring. But, nonetheless, I hear Falkens are amazing (grip for cheap). I will be getting the tires soon for my Miata.
I like my Kumho 712's. I use it for daily driving on my daily driver. I chose this over AVSi, RE71's at the ~$70 price range as it offered the "best" wet traction. And, it offers enough traction in the dry during my normal driving. So, what I'm saying is that the 712's are good bargain for a daily driving. However, I wouldn't recommend it for summer driving or in any racing situations.
If you want tires for "racing", get the Azenis. If you want a daily driving tires get 712's.

i had the kuhmos, nothing special.theyre nice in the wet though. they grip better when very worn, (in the dry of course) i'm going w/ the falkens this time.
Falken... all the way! I hate the Kumho 712's! Scream like bitches on dry, and no grip! I bought them base on price and what people where saying! Cheap and good. I agree with cheap, but good... I don't think so!
Anyway, what is the point of paying less is you don't like the tires. Next time, I'll pay more if I have to!

What tire do you suggest in that price range then? If it's not the Falkens or Kumhos?. . . . . Thanks for the replies and the help. . . . .
nothing else really IS in that price range worth mentioning...that's why the Azenis is the choice of tire by many...
how many companies make a good tire in that size for $60??? not too many
