I Just Bought a 88 CRX and Have Noticed That There Isnt Much In The After Market For Performance Parts That Don't Caust Major Bucks Like A Turbo Kit... Is There Really Anything I Can Do Besides Cold Air Intake, Exaust & Porting The Heads?

mpfi = multi point fuel injection.

 

Multi point fuel injection...
Si and HF crx's have mpfi...but the DX has dual point which sucks performance wise..

Do you have a pic of the engine? We could tell you a lot more if we had that.

Adjustable cam gears might help too, along with other lightweight accessory pulleys.

 

I can get you one when i get back to my city. Im visiting in a small town right now for thanks giving and the car is still locked up at the dealership. Im guessing it does though, cuz its no slouch. just, i wanna put it into the 15's and its not lookin good with this stalk engine haha.

 

i kinda liek the rims at least it doesnt have any crazy wing or big body kit... hoping those are decals/stickers and not painted on


edit: i take that back it does have a wing and 1 wiper blade which will distort his vision in the rain... whatever tickles your fancy.

 

I don't wanna tell you what to do or anything but I'd personally get rid of the wing, take off all the stickers, and change the windshield wiper back to original ones. That is unless you like how it looks.

Then tell us what engine it has in it.

Pass the soysauce, tonight we feast on white rice! I see no sunroof so its not an Si. You say its an 88 and it has door or pillar mounted seat belts? 2 mirrors so not a DX unless second mirror is aftermarket or Si replacement. My guess is its an HF! But I have been incorrect, on many, many occasions ;p. - Darrell

 

its a DX, DPFI, they didnt get the HF in canada...

 

at least it has some nice rims IMO.

 

Honestly, it doesn't look all that bad... just put another damn windshield wiper on there and you'll be fine. I'm a muscle car guy myself too... Welcome to HT.

 

Depending on what your budget is you can do a lot w/o a swap.
Cheapest bang for the buck as you well know is a 50-55 Dry shot of Nitrous.
A nice cam regind from EXOSPEED.com or DELTA would be nice.

hell all, sorry i havent been on for a while. yes the car is exactly as i bought it. i like the wing but not the decals or stickers, so those are all going. and i like the one wiper blade alot, dont know why haha just do and i will get engine pics up as soon as possible, and thanks ill get a cam

If you are going to keep the wiper, atleast paint the ****** black.

As swap wise, theres so many possibilities; just get something good, like a z6 and make it all motor, or go for the jdm b16

 

you will like it a lot better if you took the wing off...
sell it on ebay and make some cash!

 

ya, the wings and the decals have got to go.......but still has potential.......if your on a budget, d16z6 is a solid engine for the price (can be found from 200-700)...
