Default replaced drums, now slight rubbing

i just finished replacing the shoes and drums on my Hf. when i was all done and the drum was ready to finally be put on it wouldn't go on. i could tell that it was just barely not clearing the shoes, so i gave it a couple taps with a rubber mallet and it went on pretty smoothly. the only thing is now that its on it rubs a little. when i go to spin the tire around (in the air) it goes around about 1 1/2 and then stops because of the rubbing. what can i adjust?

u have to adjust the shoes till the drum can be put in w/o no restriction also is ur parking brake up a little? make sure its down

common mistake

either u have to turn a couple clicks of the adjuster or let ur parking brake down simple have a nice nite

Exactly, once you know brakes you will know that you have to adjust them.

I just replaced my shoes not too long ago, and I found that you gotta be pretty careful with that really thin strip of metal that goes around the outside. it fits into the outer groove on the drums, I assume to keep out dirt and water. Anyway, it gets bent up quite easily, and then doesn't fit in the drum very well without rubbing. I pretty much grabbed mine with some vice grips and ripped the damn things off! There only spotwelded on in 6 or 8 places. However, that usually only accounts for a horrible scraping noise.
