Default Bad wheel bearing???

I replaced the drivers side rear wheel bearing about a year ago, and now i'm noticing there is noise like its going bad again or the other side is going bad. I get a humming noise (like i did before) when driving with windows up and everything quite.

I put the car on a lift and moved the rear wheels side to side and in and out and it doesn't have any movement, like if it was a completely shot bearing. How do I find out first, if its the bearing, and which side its on????

When I cooked my front bearings, they made funny sounds when turning right but not left. Or at least the sound changed. Try lifting the car and spinning each wheel?

What year is it? Warranty work rocks.

depending on how hard you drive the car, wheel bearings can go bad often. I think Willard has replaced his 3 times already

or you could put the transmission in Neutral. It works too. Maybe a clutch-type LSD would be tougher.

Well, if you don't know which wheel it is, are you sure?

While you spin the wheel, put your fingers on the coil spring, usually the bearing will transmit the vibration of the faulty bearing right to the coil.

I replaced my right rear at 100k checking it like this.

put your hands on 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock and push and pull, if there is movement its a bad bearing. I have to check them everytime i do an alignment at the shop.

Its better if you can catch it before you get a lot of play in the bearing, there are other warning signs, even if you cant hear/feel them, like excessive pad knock-back up front.
