Default help im havin prob. with my dizzy coil

ok my problem is i need to take out my coil (from d-series dizzy) #1 can i take the coil out without remoiving the dizzy (from head) ?? #2 the screws on the coil are so old and they wont come off (with screw driver) anyone have any ways/ideas to get that coil out?? i did a search and a guy said use wd-40 but i thought if moisture gets in the dizzy you would have problems?? oh and do i have to take the rotor off?? tia

Rotor, yes. Put some WD40 or PB Blaster on it... You're taking it apart anyway, you can wipe it out later...

ive used wd-40 and still no luck the screws still just strip, and does it help to take the rotor off? the reaso i ask is because #1 i cant get that screw out either and #2 it doesnt look like that it is in the way of the coil screws someone help this is the last thing i need to do for my ignition
