code 7 keeps coming back after resetting ECU
after i swapped the zc in, i've been getting a code 7 for the TP sensor. that was because I replaced the broken TPS with one from a b18a1. It wasn't set right so instead of going through the hassle of setting it correctly, i just replaced the whole TB assembly complete with the TPS from an d16a6.
the TPS from the a6 was a known working one and never gave a code 7 in the stock Si. so i put it on and reset the ecu and just like that my re-programmed pm6 doesn't give any codes now and the CEL is gone. it's look's like the problem was fixed but after driving the car for a few more days, BAM! CEL and the code 7 is back!
when i turn the car off and turn it back on, the CEL is gone but the code 7 is still there. if i reset the ECU again, the code goes away but just like clockwork, after a few days of driving the car, the CEL blinds me with its jdm amber glare and the code 7 returns. also, forgot to mention, the car will hesitate when this happened. I can have a steady pressure on the throttle, then the car hesistates for a second, then the CEL blinds me, then i look down and away from the CEL and BAM! the code 7 returns!
**** you CEL. i hate that code 7. please help me out guys. i suck at cars.
