Default y8 exhaust manifold over an average header

just wondering if anyone has used an oem y8 header as compared to a oem cast manifold. i can get one off of the wifes 99 ex. and right now i have the 92 dx manifold. or should i just save and get the expensive dc, apexi, and so on headers?

I probably wouldn't get the Apex'i one cuz I've had mine for about 2 years now and the welds next to the flange are crackin'...it sux! A $500 dollar header is ready for the dump!

it's less restrictive than the dx manifold but more restrictive than an aftermarket one. For some time the HP Racing header had the best dyno numbers and was the cheapest on the market...I suggest everyone get the HP Racing one. It's stainless also!
