hcp uses a four-mount kit. a friend of mine has them and likes them very much. i myself had place racing mounts (i have hasports now). i snapped two place racing mounts in a span of four months. PR replaced them for free, true, but snapping mounts isn't fun. that, and, PR mounts push the motor further forward than hasports. i'm loving my hasport billets. well made and look damn good

Lol. Thats about a close minded statement if i ever heard one. Hasport is not the only game in town. Nor are they the best IMO.

Let me throw AZ Race & Machine into the mix they make good mounts, Hasports have a good name also but they aren't the only ones

all mounts are gonna require some engine bay mods, as in bangin the alternator pulley area and rear crossmember bending.

i like the azracemachine.com and hasport mounts.

I have had Place Racing in my CRX for 2 years now and have not snapped one yet. The engien does not jump or jerk at all. Hella vibration though (stiff *** uerathane). Very good mounts if you dont plan to turbo your engine. They dont leave a whole lot of room up front. And there is an angle on teh axles, but from what I read it doesnt really matter.

I was gonna buy some HCP mounts eventually because I plan to turbo my car and I need more room up front.

I Have the burly Hasport billet alluminum mounts and I HATE them because they don't offer them in different durometers (strength of bushing).

AZ RACING I believe does. I could be wrong but I think I have heard this somewhere... I will have to call them and check.

Ive got the HASport billets and i love them. Ive had them for almost 2 years and ive had no problems with them. All b series into ef mounts require some sort of engine bay modification. Another thing that you have to look at is engine placement. HASport and AZ Race place the engine further towards the back of the bay to make room for turbos/4-1 headers...where as the PR and HCP place the engine further toward the front of the engine bay...which would be better if you were going to supercharge it. Theyre all good mounts...but you cant beat the engineering that HASport put into their kit

the only reason to look at hasport and only hasport is they offer the hydro kit. if your planning on hydro tranny its your only choice as far as i know. otherwise i think you can do better price wise.

i got the hasport hydro mount kit, they are very solid and look very nice. things i don't like ... the fact that my hood rubs on my motor slightly, and they are so stiff that there is alot of vibration but its not bad.

I think that come standard with all aftermarket mounts (my PR vibrates a lot too)

I have the HCP four mount kit and zero complaints. I went shopping for it in another project and could only find three mount kits. Anyone know if they still make four mount kits, and if not, who does? Not to jack the thread or anything...

It's Hasport that offers the 3 different stiffnesses of bushings. You can get softer bushings if you think your's are too stiff.

i have place racing mounts and i have never had problems with my axles breaking, 2 years so far. however, place racing mounts do suck, ive busted my rear mount once and it caused my rear subframe to rip, in addition to that there is no clearance for my turbo so im having to spend more money on **** just to get it to all fit. Hasport mounts are the only way to go in my opinion.

Your freind will have to do engine bay mods no matter what mounts he gets, bang the frame near the altenator, and remove the front mount from the crossmember.
