Default Tranny question for my b18b1 swap

I'm currently running a B18B1 in my 89 civic hatch. The tranny on it now tops at 110 mph at 7200rpm, this sucks. It's a cable tranny with no code that I can see, although it does have a LSD. I need a tranny thats more friendly when going over 60 mph, aka not at 4000 rpm.

I've done a little research and figured a YS1 is what I need. I have based this decision off of what kind of car it came from and that it's sold in america(parts reasons). I still do not actually know what the characteristics of this transmission are. Could someone inform me of the the top speed in all gears and the rpms at those speeds or maybe just point me to a chart. I was also wondering if it's possible or a good idea to take the LSD from my current tranny and put it in the new tranny.

i had a Y1 LSD JDM b16a1 tranny (actually i had the whole engine) and the tranny was the best part of the car... it grabs and doesnt slip whatsoever. ive heard its the best tranny on the market and it is the tranny i feel most comfortable with... but atleast go for something with LSD.

Won't that be expensive to find aftermarket parts for. I don't want to have to ship a clutch from japan if the clutch goes. I'm also planning on droping in a perfromance clutch and possibly a lighter fly wheel. I figure if I just get a regular tranny I can swap in the LSD from my current transmission.

For those trannies you get a clutch for a 90-91 integra, you do not need to have one shipped from japan.

Here is a chart with all the gear ratios - http://www.allmotorhonda.com/t...s.htm

If you do have a YS1, you will need a clutch assembly from a 92-93 Integra. Bigger spline.
