Default Shifting Problems with ZC transaxle

I have a ef with a d16a6 with a zc transaxle , and I have problems shifting from 1-2. It just feels like it doesn't want to go into second gear, this happens at high rpms and during normal everyday driving. It only occurs in second and all the other gears are fine. I am thinking it could be the 1-2 synchronizer, or perhaps the shift forks. Anyone know what this could be?

Sounds like the synchro is going. I had this problem with 2nd and 3rd. I'm using synchromesh friction modified.

What sorte of oil have you put in your gear box??

have you drained it?

Lot of D16 owners in france used to have this probleme.. they juste have drained it and put some 10w40 engine oil in it and now it's all good...

Synchromesh friction modified, I just got some two days ago and it does make a difference. The grind in 3rd is going away. It is only around 6000 rpms. It used to start around 3500 rpms.
