Default Dynoed at Central Florida Turbo the other day...

IF YOU ARE READING THIS POST HERE THERE WAS A DYNO MISREAD, REAL NUMBERS ON SHEETS BELOW

My little f22b2 stock block tubo pulled down 293whp 311wtq at 8 psi on their mustang dyno. I know I don't post here much, I'm a little more active in the FI forum although not much. But I have been a lurker for over a year now. Setup is as follows

completely stock block and head, pfft **** vtec
FMAX turbo kit (mani, pipes, turbo, fmic), plugged secondaries, custom hotside piping, custom dp out of fmax dp
T3/T4b Single ball bearing (edit, .48 hotside, seeing 8lbs on the street by 3600 or so)
2.5" downpipe to 2.5" to 3" flared testpipe to 3" kteller back to an edelbrock muffler with a 3" tip
act full face organic disc, heavy duty pressure plate, findanza flywheel 8lb
turboxs dual stage bc
oil cooler
tial 35mm open dump (need to get that closed me thinks, a bit loud when shes open)
lucas 440cc injectors (4)
walboro 255 intank
p28 with s200b tuned by rolo at cft
baffled greddy catch can
smc water injection kit (not used yet, will use when I get my idle smoothed out at the dyno and see what 10psi will do with a lil more timing and a lil water.)
boost and oil press gauges

This is indeed my first turbo project ever. It took me nearly nine monthes as I was in school and still am. I am very happy with outcome. Let's show those non F series believers!

Those are some pretty stout numbers. How many miles are on the motor?

impressive numbers, gives me something to look forward to. im building my b2 block and hopefully running 1bar. my goal was 350whp with my setup so i think thats very achievable.
get that thing to the track and post up some numbers!!!!!

Aren't the Mustangs dyno off a lil? I mean Aznfreak put down only 269, I think, and he was at 14psi. That's WWAAAYYYY more than the usual.

I was really surprised with the numbers. My timing is a little advanced but from what I'm told larger displacement engines like a little advance. Rollo also does very very good work. It's all in the tune.
Yeah I have read that they are off a little, but usually if anything I've heard they read low.
Timeslips may be a little harder to come by, Im in school ALOT. But i'll see what i can do. I wanted to run 1 bar, but I was judging myself on accordfreaks numbers roughly and thought maybe i could push to 280wtq at 15lbs, but i figure if i made 311wtq at 8lbs, i dont think ill need to risk my daily driver with so much boost. 12 absolute tops, plus at the moment im on the stock map sensor.

Yeah, I've heard they're off too and that does seem like a lot for 8psi. Seems like that's more h22 turbo numbers. Not hating dave, just commenting. Nice setup too

The mustangs dyno I hear are the most accurate there are. They are one of the only dynos that take many different variables into consideration, like road resistence, and others. I have always heard the the dynojets are always read high.

sorry its been so long just wanted to update everyone, with my numbers now seeing as there WAS a probelm with the dyno, but for a moment my car was the ****
but it is still the most fun ive had in a long time and i love it.
237.0whp 196.1wtq @8psi
231.4whp 218.2wtq @11psi
switched to a microtech lt8 as well

once i fix my radius rod and raise the bitch a little, slap on the gforces and its off to the track. ill be more than happy to answer any questions. all work was done by myself short of the ecu wiring, tuning, and exhaust welding.

Right on. Got the same car/motor, but it's a sedan. Almost done with my project. New motor with CP pistons (.020 over) and eagle rods. Just put my Precision 580cc injectors in controlled by a socketed p05 ECU tuned with Uberdata/Crome and Zeitronix wideband. Cars running great so far. Just have to fab up my I/C piping and downpipe. 300 here I come

Where in Florida are you?

stupid question I know...what's your gas mileage like with your boost pumped up? Granted you don't build up a turbo for economy, but just curious.

That kinda surprises me with the non-vtec B2, would the numbers be any higher with the F22B1?

I'm assuming you're asking f22b2tdave - as I'm not boosted yet. To sorta answer your question though, there's no reason why gas mileage will suffer a bunch (assuming you don't drive around in boost all day). You can tune part throttle and cruise to be fuel efficient and have it run richer under boost. It all depends on the management you use.

funny you should ask, i was just cursing my heavy foot, roughly 220 mi/tank.
but i beat the **** out of her. i bet b1 numbers might be a hair or so better, but sohc vtec is as useful as a fine nun if you ask me

even for 8spi, those numbers are , though your torque does seem kinda low for 8psi....may i ask why you went with a flared exhaust pattern???...i doube the b1 head would make a difference in this situation\

and dont feel bad....i get around 250/tank when i drive only to school and back each day (>1 mile), and my powerplant is pretty much stock

very nice though ~230whp on a mustang dyno is good ****

That's a whole lot of power for 8psi. What kind of transmission are you running? Good job BTW.

Yeah, I think he's alright right now with the 8lbs one. But if his goal is 300whp he'll need a heavier flywheel. I wouldn't run 300whp on an 8 pounder

F22B2 stock is 130hp right? So you're claiming over a 100whp inrease only with 8psi? Can we see a dyno sheet? If it is in fact what u say it is then Madd props... gives hope for the F series!

i have sheets, although the rpm reading is off, peak torque at 4k and peak hp at 6k i almost think she wanted to make power a little further, but its my daily so i think i am done powerwise for the moment.
i need a place to host though, i have a few pics of the car as well and some video, but id rather not post it up and rather pm me if you would like to see it. but i will post the dyno sheet the minute i get a host. i have one for 8 and 11 psi.

on the contrary to all the lightweight flywheel advisors, i love mine. had it in for over a year now un boosted and then the past month or so boosted. still running strong as hell. i like to blip as well and this helps with my throttle response.

i went with the flare because i cant fit a full 3" dp with ac and ps and my manifold.

Thanks to all those out there pushing the f series limits, wouldnt have done this if i hadnt seen accordfreaks car nearly a year ago. then schmuckingham and brian, so many great turbo cords out there.
mine doesnt do the accord justice, as its all flat black, gutted, stock gunmetal painted wheels, its just not all that pretty. but she goes.

it would be interesting to see how boost speed/torque changes if you went to 2.5 " all the way around....and function over form, right?!...hey, if it looks like your car has already been broken into, whose gonna wanna steal it
