90 Ex Pwr Door Locks
Pwr Door locks just randomly stopped working. When I hit the switch there is a click but the locks dont move. I checked the repair manual and they say if the solenoid still clicks the solenoid is ok, but they say check loose wiring etc. Anyone else have this proplem, any ideas? Thanks!
Sadly enough, I have the same problem but have yet to hear a fix or problem. I hit the switch and I can hear the click, but none of the locks work. Someone please help us out! Thanks all.
Acutator is directly connected to the door lock assembly. If you definitely hear the actuator trying to move the lock, then I would use brake cleaner to throughly clean the lock assembly, and blow all the dirt/crud out w/ air hose. Relubricate w/ white (lithium) spray grease and that might cure your problem.
Note, the solenoid must also lift the manual door lock at the door latch on the front end of the door. If the link rod to this manual switch were jammed, it might prevent the door from releasing.
If there's a mechanical problem the door lock/actuator assembly will have to be pulled.
good luck
