k... i think i just need help with the dash part. I dont know how to take it out.. i unscrewed the screws that were visible.. that's it. sooo, can someone tell me where everything is at, and if there is a certain way i need to pull it off??? Some quick answers would be great.. cuz it needs to be done by tonight!! and also.. does the climate control come off with the dash? or do i need to take that out first?? if so, HOW?!

, im gonna go back to working on the other stuff right now... if i can't figure something else out.. ill be back to post some more questions!! but PLEASE help me out guys!!!!! thanks!!

 

if you cant find anymore screws its probably just clips left then, start pullin on one end and see if it breaks loose...i dont THINK you need to take the climate control out first but dont take my word for it

um, alright..i will try?? and the car is going into the body shop tomorrow for my paint job... its not a solid pink like u would think.. but i will for sure post pics once i get it back... that is, IF I CAN FIGURE THIS DASH CRAP OUT!! grr...

 

i didnt mean the kind of clips that you pop out with a screwdriver and pull, the kind that is just a little plastic piece wedged into something...give it a try

well after a lot of frusteration.. and some cuts .. i finally got the stupid dash out. thanks for ur help.

 

i have another problem!!!! I need to take the windshield seals off... I know that on some cars, u can just pull them off... but i know on some other cars, u have to take the whole damn windshield off cuz the seal is all the way around it. I have an EK... and i was just wondering if there was a way to take it off w/out having to pop out the windows... front and rear windshield....

 

anyone??!! I know I need to give it time for people to respond... but i need this all done no later than 3 this after noon. . It was supposed to go in to the body shop this morning, but it was already 4am. everything inside is stripped.. i just need the seals and the molding crap off. sooo, anyone know??????

yea i got it back yesterday. its not what i wanted, but it still looks okay. It was supposed to be where at one angle it's white, and then at another its a pink with a pearl... but it just looks like a white pearl (to me).. if u look REALLY close, u can see some pink pigments, but i wanted the pink to be noticeable... oh well... I guess it was a miscommunication...this sucks :'-(. I'm prolly gonna save up some more money and take it somewhere and make sure the painter knows EXACTLY what I want....

But, as much as i dont want to post pics, i will. I'm getting ready to put my interior back and then tomorrow my bf is putting everything back in the engine bay.. after that.. ill take mor pics of the car and post some before and after pics... prolly by the middle of the week.

That guy did a shitty job. He painted over the moldings, over wires, painted her shift boot...well i'll let her tell you guys. That guy is a dick!

Get his name on here and the name of the shop. Spread the word and ruin this *****.

lets get something real straight ************.. dont come on here calling me any names when you dont know who the **** i am. and if you wanna say somethin to me then sheena will tell you where i am and come say it to my face. i dont have a shop i build limosines for a company and i worked out a SIDE deal with her to bring it in after work hours and paint it. i gave her a price that was WAAAYYYY cheaper than she'd get anywhere else but earl shieb and get **** paint. i didnt make any profit off of this i was just hooking her up cause i thought we were kool. she picked out the color herself. i told her and chris to STRIP the car cause anything that was left was gonna get paint on it so **** you. the E-BRAKE BOOT was my fault and i told her i owe her a new one so **** you. she wanted the moldings painted so **** you again. i hope your dad dies a painful lonley death and burns in hell. you can go with him.

and sheena if you have something to say to me then say it, i didnt hear anything when i was talking on the phone with you today.

when the words "ILL PAINT YOUR CAR" and "I'LL GIVE YOU A GOOD DEAL" are in the same sentence you know your asking for trouble no matter how good the spray it.

 

more like "i want you to paint my car" to which my response was "how much you looking to spend?"

 

aren't you sposed to like mask the doors with paper from the inside to keep from getting excessive overspray on the int. Just a question I don't personally paint cars so I don't know for sure but that would be what "I" would do to prevent getting paint on the inside of the car.

 

it was a COMPLETE color change. inside, outside, engine bay. everything.
