Long story short My freaking car won´t start
I was just crusing and the ***** shut off. I have replaced the wires, plugs, cap n rotor, ignition coil. I don´t know what else to do. I have power as my radio and lights work the same. I just turn the key over and it won´t start. I pretty sure its not the fuel pump nor the lines as I opened the fuel filter and ***** just pour out like crazy. Its been about a week and now I´m pissed I need to drive the teggy again I even tried to push start but nothing. Its trying to turn over. After I replaced the stuff listed above the car feels like its almost there but nothing. arghhhh about $200 and still nothing. The car sounds like when a battery is dead but turns over fast and if it was dead it should have turned on when it was push started.
thanks in advance

this sounds familiar. my DA just died today, the tow truck driver said it's the dist. we checked for spark and there was none. so if I'm hearing you guys right, I don't need a new distributor, just the ignitor?
Trending Topics
crap! those ignitors are hard to get ahold of! Kragen [PartsAmerica] is out at all their warehouses and cannot order them. Autozone was out in my area, and the dealer closed before I could find out if they had any. luckily I found a place, Worldwide Auto Parts, that had one.
crappy part is, this didn't fix my problem. I'm thinking perhaps I need a new coil? I have a voltmeter in storage, but I can't get to it. but what are the chances of the coil going bad? never had that happen before... any other ideas?
[since it was past time anyway, I replaced cap/rotor/plugs/wires]

wha?
turns out I needed a new coil. the old ignitor could be OK, but I'm not taking the chance. I did tons of research over the past two days [yaaay for the SEARCH button] and some people have had the experience of the ignitor and coil going out together or close enough.
crappy thing: when reconnecting the coil wires, I dropped one of the screws and couldn't find it. OOPS. luckily, Home Depot was nearby and now she runs again.
