GS-R Head on LS?
whoa wtf.
GSR heads can be picked up complete with low mileage for 800 bucks (plus or minus 100).
Maybe a Shop would charge that much difference in labor?
We did my friends LS VTEC with ITR cams and total cost was only 1900 bucks full installed and dyno tuned.
SHopping around is critical.
If you just go out and by the first thing u see ur #'s will rise quickly. Play it casual and shop around for prices.
As for LSVTEC, not a great idea in my oppinion. But his motor is strong as hell. 168whp tuned with the ITR cams. I just hope it doesn't blow
LS block has no Oil Squirters

It's all good. Don't worry about them now. You will change your tune when your puny 7mm rod bolt snaps and you hear the horrible sound of a breaking rod smashing through your engine block
Your clearances in your non VTEC engine are not suited for high RPM and let the engine vibrate at high revvs. The 16 months you put on your LS/VTEC is probably like 4 years on a VTEC B. Why do you think VTEC B's have tight clearances and highly balanced crankshafts???

ive driven one ls/vtec. i didnt take it past the stock ls redline, was alot more fun to drive then a straight up ls. if you dont take it past the stock redline, you wont have any problems. and its still a stronger engine then an ls with bolt ons.
