hey everyone sorry for such a vague question, but can anyone give me some integra info?? like what gen. in a 90 ls? is an ls compatable with anyother tegs? (i have a civic hatch and i know you can use certin integra parts or civic si parts) and if anyone has the info/specs on the motors? which b18 comes in a 90ls how much power? im sorry for so manny questions but im a noob on tegs but i need to know kinda fast, so thanks for any help

A 90 ls would be a DA teg, I'm not too familiar with the engine, but I think it puts out around 110 at the wheels. The LS is comprable to the RS in terms of power output and gearing, but the RS doesn't have a sunroof. That's about all the info that I can provide. I'm sure other HTers with more experience with that series will be able to help more. I personally drive a DC (gen 3)
thanks marsbike, does anyone know the stock hp? i thought b18's are around 160hp? and i know thats not to the wheels. so if a dc teg is gen 3 does anyone know what gen a da is? so how do the modles go? (rs,ls,gs?) again im new to tegs but accords are dx(hardly seen) lx,ex,and some are se what about the tegs? as far as the motor what b18 is it? (b18a,b18c ect) and can parts from other da tegs be swaped over? thanks for any and all help
You should join team-integra.net, as well as g2ic.com. Those are the best resources for the kind of basic information you are interested in.
As for info on the 90 LS - it has a b18a motor, putting out 130hp (at the flywheel).
The DA/DB2 is a Generation 2 integra (hence g2ic.com)
The 90-93 integras have RS, LS, GS, LS Special, and in 92/93 they introduced the GS-R. The 90-91 LS/RS/GS had b18a with 130hp, the 92-93 LS/RS/GS/LS-S had the same motor with 140hp, and the 92-93 GSR has a B17A with 160hp.
DA integras can share most chassis parts with 89-91 EF civics, and shocks with the DC (gen3) integras with slight modification (must use DC/EG front drop forks).

thanks purplegsr! that answerd my questions but now i have 1 more i thought the b18 was 160hp(not 130hp...bummer) can anyone give me some input about the car is it still quick/fast? i have a ef and it has a dohc zc and i think they are 130hp/crank so i think a teg will fell alot slower than i thought...feed back please
There are 3 (or 4) different usdm b18 motors - the b18a, b18b, and b18c1 or b18c5.
b18a -130 or 140 depending on year
b18b - 140
b18c1 - 170
b18c5 - 195hp
I used to have a 2000 GSR, and now I have a 92 LS. Both were in excellent mechanical shape, and the B18C in the GSR was much better in terms of performance than the 140hp b18a I now have. However, only part of that is due to the motor, the rest is due to the gearing of the transmission. The GSR has shorter gearing, while the LS has long gearing. This means slow acceleration for the b18a. If you were to mate the b18a with a cable b16 or gsr transmission, you would have much improved acceleration.
Now, the b18a in the 91 integra is pretty slow, but it does have a bit of torque, so when mated with a better geared transmission, you could be satisfied with the acceleration. If you have an EF with a dohc zc, you will probably find the teg with b18a is slightly slower because of weight and the crappy transmission.
To give you an idea - 90-91 integras are probably mid to low 16 second cars in the 1/4 mile. While GS-Rs tend to be mid-15s. A 90LS may be a little slower than your DOHC ZC hatch, and a bit faster than a 92-95 civic si/ex.

Wheres the best place to buy a cable b16 online without getting ripped?

classifieds on H-T or g2ic would be the best bet to get a good deal.
Try this one:

you could just put the gears into your existing b-series case.
If you have a DA, I would suggest buying a new b16 or short ys1 (92-93 gsr) gearset, swapping them in, and then using your old LS final drive. That way you have the acceleration of the b16 with the comfortable cruising capability and better highway gas mileage of the LS.

You have a DC2? I wouldn't bother, you already have a gsr tranny
And why do you want a cable b16 tranny if you have a dc2? I would stick with a hydro tranny.

They don't, I think you're a bit confused:
for gen3 tegs (94-01) they are all hydraulic transmissions
DC2 is the code for a GSR coupe, DC4 is the code for an LS coupe
If you have a gsr, you have shorter gearing already (not as short as the b16/itr, but short enough to give you good acceleration)
If you have a ls, you have long gearing. You might want to get a hydro b16/itr tranny, or a gsr tranny if you are planning on going turbo. However, you are not looking for a cable tranny, only early 90s hondas have cable trannies.
