bigger beefer suspension ANY TAKES?
I work at a cnc shop and design fixtures, brackets all day.
I own a 91 honda civic hatchback dx with a mpfi swap w/
a Ansa catback exhaust-obx stainless midpipe-bomz straight cat
15" Rs Concept gunmetal 5 spokes wrapped with Falken Ziex
ngk wires-plugz, tokico shocks and H&R sport springs, spoon sport chiped ecu,
custom intake piping and many stock keep ups along the way.
BUt anywho!
Ive been looking for bigger control arms etc. in the suspension area to upgrade my car.can't find **** out on the market except for a few over priced rear control arms. so i was thinking about making the whole setup for the rear at first then maybe the front if all works out. i was wondering if anyone would be intrested in this at all or am i just wasting my time.
I was just going to take the stock specs of the control arms on my car and make the arms out of stronger beefer material to with hold the beating of autocross, roadracing etc. if intrested leave a line
i havn't started it yet just an idea i just want to hear some input on it and see if people would be intrested or not.. thanks- teal_civic_mobile---PEace

it sounds like a good idea...
personaly if i was in your situation i would make a few sets for yourself and friends in your area take a ton of pics and do alot of testing to prove that they work, are stong, and can handle anything you put them.
Also should think about specs for bushings and replacement bushings when needed. like will say Energy Suspension bushings fit your control arm...ect...ect.
But yeah i would be interested if they were 1. lighter 2. stronger 3. added to my bling factor...lol

I don't see a point to increasing strength, since OEM Honda parts such as the control arms are already plenty strong enough and are not prone to failure. You'd just be adding redundant weight rather than solving an actual problem.
Reduction in unsprung weight (while maintaining OEM strength) is probably a more realistic goal. Keep in mind that the biggest market for parts like these will not be actual racers (because of class rules and budget restrictions) but rather the street-driving crowd who are attracted by "bling parts."

Exactly. If these 3 requirements can be met, I'd be VERY interested. If you need a test car, IM me. We can work something out so we both shoulder the cost.

Stock arms are strong enough for any racing....unless you hit the armco or roll 2 times in the air and land sideways on your wheels
Plus if you don't bend the arm if you hit something hard then the crossmember will bend.
Why not use those skills and make something else cool....look in the fab forum

header flanges, intake flanges, wheel spacers...other stuff.
Edit: not that there isn't a market....if you can make it shiny enough someones boud to want it
