Quick question for those who have installed Tein SS
Just got a shiny new set of Tein SS coilovers for my GSR.. time to install them now. On my Illuminas, I know there is an allen wrench sized hole on the very top of the piston to hold the shaft in order to take off the top hat. Now on the Teins there is also an allen wrench hole on top of the piston, but this is used to adjust the damper. It appears to be the only way to hold the shaft in place while i tighten the bolt for the top hat. I DO NOT want to ruin anything though and i DO NOT wasnt to resort to air tools.. what should i do?
a part of the shaft is shaped like this (____) Use an open wrench to stop it from moving, and becareful, you don't have to make it that tight.
i know what you are talking about.. that flat part. I just really dont want to mess up the thread at all.. but i guess i dont have to make the bolt too tight. thanks for the help.
yeah use a open wrench you should be fine. DONT USE AIR TOOLS to put them on. you can use air to take them OFF but not on. (I think thats what the manual said...)
