OPINIONS on mild steel and stainless

Default OPINIONS on mild steel and stainless

Im looking for everyones opinion on this...

I am not a welder myself but am looking to see if its even possible...

Welding Mild steel or Aluminum Pipe to Stainless...

Attempting a larger collector pipe welded to a stainless header...

Our would I need to buy some stainless pipe ???

You can NOT weld aluminum to any steel.

Yes you can weld stainless to mild steel, you just have to use stainless filler rod that has a higher "number" then the stainless. For example if you're using 321 stainless () and mild steel you'd need 347 rod. I'd stick to stainless just for looks but it can be done as you asked.

The larger collector is not a problem either, just make sure to ask how much it'll cost first...
