I just put in a SOHC ZC in my 88 HF. I'm having a little trouble, some of the wiring doesnt match up with the motor theres a few clips unplugged theres no spot on the zc to connect them to. I had the motor in a 90 si and the linkage fit fine but now its in the HF and it seems a little too long, Will I need to use the HF linkage on the motor. Can I just use an SI engine harness and git rid of those clips? Someone please help

 

theres a plug next to the tranny i forget what its cold but its an hf and automatic thing only so dont even worry about that. can you maybe post pics or be a little more specific as to what is not matching up.

 

OK u know on the HF intake manifold on the left side, theres a little "thing" that bolts to the manifold and it has a clip on it that connects into the engine harness and on the si manifolds theres no port for it to bolt to, thats whats giving me trouble....I dont know what its called but its giving me a headache....Can I just eliminate it with an Si engine harness?

 

No, everything should mate fine. You should be more worried about connections on the motor not being made then parts of the harness not finding a home. The HF harness is plug and play as is the SI due to the MPFI.

 

ok, I checked the ecu and its throwing 2 codes, the injector and its throwing the electrical load code I dont know whats causing them
