port flow inner valve springs with gsr outers along wtih stock retainers. Good for 9200? Searched but couldn't find otu if i could use stock retainers. Thanks

you could prolly take stock to 9200. is it reliable? hell no. dont be cheap. just get some itr's or get teh outters also.

 

aren't gsr outers and itr outers the same? I wnat to know if i need different retainers or not.

 

I've taken mine up to 9000rpm on ITR outers and Portflow inners on numerous occasions while drag racing and auto-x'ing.

 

do you have stock retainers? are gsr outers and itr outers the same? my friend has a 95 gsr with portflow inners and i think gsr outers, not sure if they are itr or gsr ones and he takes it to 9200 all the time.. i just want to make sure this setup will be fine before i buy it.

I use stock retainers.

I'm not sure which ones are stiffer, the ITR IN outers or the GS-R EX outers. It's too bad I can't afford to $220 spring tester I want, otherwise I'd tell you.

I know I shouldn't do this, but I've got a set for sale if you're interested and maybe it'll help you out too.
