it's a pain in the *** to get it out because of the clearance... but if you jack up the car enough it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Get yourself a helms manual.

i know that on the DA's theres a scrape plate built into the front bumper, and most of the time if its still there, you have to remove the bumper to get to it. like plastikowl said, clearance is a bitch, but once you do it once or twice, it'll get easier.

again, not sure on the skid plate for the DC's but someone can confirm

huh? Alternators have nothing to do w/ skid plates or the front bumper....

You will need to remove the driver side axle and maybe the halfshaft to get it out. It's really not that hard. If you can't get the axle off of the halfshaft, you can remove both as one unit, but you will either have to drain your transmission, or you can jack up only the left side of the car and you should be able to get the halfshaft out w/o having to drain anything.

I have no idea what you're talking about on G2's... on G3's only the axle is in the way.

To change the timing belt, the heals says to remove the alternator and the ps pump. it says nothing about the axel so i think you can get it out another way.
