i have a 1991 honda civic hatchback (dpfi) now mpfi as of last weekend. i did a dohc zc swap. i was running sohc zc with dpfi intake stuff. now i have had the car running for less than a week and i am having major problems. i am running a pr4 ecu. i tried running a pg7 and it backfire through the intake. now when it does run with the pr4 it spudders alot. and when i come to a stop it idles odd. it idles from 1000 rpm to 2000 rpm back down to 1000rpm. and the ecu (pr4) keeps throwing code 12. i have a extra iacv. ijust want the car to run so i can drive it can any one please help me.

Better only meaning that it runs richer.

Are you sure you have a PG7?
I'm asking because the code 12 is an EGR code. I didn't think that PG7's even had EGR control.

Good idea to test the PM6. Check to see if you are still getting a code 12 with it.
