Default Running a little rich?

okay i got a little problem guys. My car keeps bogging, so i checked my msd wires to see if they are connected or not since they like to get loose sometimes and everything was cool. I pulled the plugs out and they are black, im going to replace them once i get off work but im not sure this will help. Seems like ive been wasting a lot of gas lately and it just started to bog. My car is daily driven and has been driven open header for a quite a while now. Could running open header cause the o2 sensor to go bad and make me run rich? i tried reseting the ecu but no luck. Any suggestions? ohh yea its a 98 dx hatchback with b18c with IM, intake, and fuel pump. Your help is appriciated.

Sounds like an ignition problem...I had the same problem too where the gas mileage was all over the wall, and I would have backfire issues.....I alliviated the problem with new plugs...the plugs i had prior to the exchange were supposedly new but seemed faulty. With the new plugs the car worked like a dream. Never hurts to borrow plugs from a friend.

The CEL wont go off til the O2 is completely toast. I replaced mine with a universal one and the rich prob went away
