ive got a 91 civic si with almost 300,000 miles on it.
i know a guy who has a dohc zc with 50,000 mi on it and is a certified tech at a honda dealership so i know the motor is good. - $350 with wiring harness and ecu but no exhaust manifold

heres the catch: i dont have my license at the moment and it will cost me $600 to get it back due to my driving record. i have $400
is it worth spending the money on the motor?
or should i wait and get my license
keep in mind the car has an undiagnosed electrical problem causing the motor to shut off randomly. thanks for your input---david

i would be more worried about driving first...then worry about the swap...then again you could be swapping the motor yourself while getting the money for your liscense back...so

 

will my d16a6 exhaust manifold fit on the zc? i think it will but im not totally sure. thanks for the input -david

i bought headers for a d16z6 and blew it and bought a DOHC ZC and the headers fit on it fine
