obd1 tranny on obd2 car

obd1 tranny on obd2 car
Tranny in the integra wont go in reverse all of a sudden
replace the mid shaft cause the teeth were eaten a lil' but still no workie.
Want to pick up a replacement but ALL the trannies I've found are obd1 and someone selling one told me it wouldnt work cause sensors & all.
True?
whats necessary to make it work if it requires more?
Have a 1996 Integra LS AUTOMATIC (OBD2)
